The Openlands Policy program works to impact systemic changes that protect and enhance open space and natural resources throughout northeastern Illinois and the surrounding region. We achieve this goal by:

• Conducting thoughtful and comprehensive research,
• Developing reports and sound public policies,
• Advocating for the adoption of these policies, and
• Regularly providing advice and information to help individuals, community groups, and other organizations protect land and water for public enjoyment.
