Celebrate the Opening of the Kickapoo Woods Launch Site with a Paddling Trip!

September 26, 2015 | 01:00pm

Come celebrate the Forest Preserves Centennial year and the opening of a new launch site on the Upper Little Calumet River at Kickapoo Woods. This event will include a paddling trip on the river and a chance to learn about its history and ecology. Bring your own boat or borrow one of the Forest Preserve boats for the trip.

This event is free but you must register in advance.

There are a limited number of boats to lend so register early to borrow a boat!  Contact Laura Barghusen at to register and please include your name, the number of people coming with you, your email address, and a phone number where you can be reliably reached if there is last minute information to communicate.

This event is a partnership of Forest Preserves of Cook County, Openlands, and Illinois Paddling Council.
