Des Plaines River Cleanup

September 14, 2013 | 9:30am

Illinois Water TrailKeepers, a volunteer stewardship program of the Illinois Paddling Council and Openlands, is sponsoring a clean up of the Des Plaines River, in partnership with the Upper Des Plaines River Ecosystem Partnership, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, Lake County Forest Preserves and other partners.

We will be working in three different locations, doing litter clean up and enjoying a day in natural areas along the river.   Sponsors will provide breakfast snacks, supplies, and prizes for volunteers.  You provide your enthusiasm and passion to preserve the environment, and ultimately the river wins!
