Length: Approximately 9 miles

Directions: Located on property managed by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, Busse Lake is an impoundment of Salt Creek, in the Ned Brown Forest Preserve. Row boats and canoes are available for rent at the concession at the Busse Lake boating center. Enter on the south side of Higgins Road (Route 72), approximately 0.5 miles east of Route 53.
