Explore Your Lakes and Rivers Series: Birds of Prey Paddle at Powderhorn Lake

July 5, 2016 | 4pm - 7pm

Explore Powderhorn Lake in a canoe! Learn about the birds at the preserve including the Osprey, a beautiful raptor that nests on high platforms and feeds on fish in the lake. They help steward the preserve by picking up trash from the water. This event is free and open to the public. Participants must be at least 5 years old to paddle in a canoe.  To ensure a spot in a canoe, please pre-register by e-mailing Laura Barghusen at with your name, email and the number of people in your group. Meet in the parking lot of the Powderhorn Lake Forest Preserve.
