In addition to the many useful maps you'll find here, visit our Natural Connections green mapping project. Developed in conjunction with the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT), Natural Connections allows you to create customized maps that show the interconnected network of open space and natural areas in parts of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Interactive Online Maps:
KML files contain geographic and visualization information that can be used in Internet-based, two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional Earth browsers (like Google Earth). They can also be used within other maps or for mashups of geographic data visualization.
Openlands.org offers conservation-related KML Files for use. If you have any conservation-related KML data you'd like to share with us, please contact our GIS Coordinator.
