Friends of Hackmatack Quarterly Gathering

Friends of Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge will be holding their second Friends Gathering on June 10, 2014 at 6pm at the Glacial Park Lost Valley Visitor Center. The meeting will discuss land management and restoration at the newly formed refuge, as well as the role of the Fish and Wildlife Service in refuge-land management. We will be joined by Ed Collins, the current land manager with the McHenry County Conservation District, who will discuss the natural improvements to the land, and Brain Glenzinski of Ducks Unlimited, who will discuss land ownership and restoration within Hackmatack.

6pm Welcome and Refreshments

6:05pm – Introductions

6:10pm - Recap Bird Banding - April 26 & 27 – FWS Event 

6:15pm – U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

6:30pm – McHenry County Conservation District

6:45pm –Ducks Unlimited Hackmatack Property

7pm – Friends Organizing
