When we preserve open space, we preserve the quality of life that makes our region so attractive—culturally, ecologically, and economically. Since 1963 Openlands has been working hard to ensure cleaner air and water, safeguard natural habitats and wildlife, and help balance and enrich people's lives. To date we've protected over 55,000 acres throughout northeastern Illinois and the surrounding region.
A Pocketful of Watercolors captures the artistic explorations of air, land, and water by Philip Enquist, a former Openlands board member and a great friend of our organization. Proceeds from the sale of this beautiful book will benefit Openlands' conservation work throughout northeastern Illinois and the surrounding region.
