Hegewisch Marsh Natural Area Tree Planting

May 3, 2014 | 9am - 1pm

Come join Openlands as we plant many, many trees! This is the largest marsh in Chicago at 130 acres. We will be working on establishing an understory of trees on the higher grounds of this park. Come and learn about the history of the SE side of Chicago plus the frogs will provide nice background music! Meet at the parking lot which is about a block south of 130th on Torrence Ave on the west side of the street. Detailed directions are included when you register here.
