Openlands Lakeshore Preserve Yoga on the Beach

Come out and enjoy the beauty of the Openlands Lakeshore Preserve by practicing Yoga on the beach. Stephanie, a Yoga Instructor from Shri Yoga Center in Highland Park, will lead an hour-long Vinyasa flow yoga class. These classes focus on relaxation, balance, core work, and flow of breathing. By participating you will be able improve fitness while stretching, lengthening, and strengthening muscles in a beautiful setting. All experience levels are welcome. Options for a more or less challenging experience will be offered!

This style of yoga offers a way to connect through movement while relaxing the nervous system and strengthening the body. Relax in the peaceful environment of Lake Michigan and the Preserve’s natural bluff and ravine ecosystem with the flow of yoga--a great way to spend your Saturday morning. 

Bring a yoga mat and enough water to last you for the program. Limited parking will be available at the Preserve’s parking lot on Patten Road. From the parking lot, follow the signs through the Preserve to the beach where the yoga event will take place (about 1/8 mile walk on a paved path, with some stairs down to the beach).
