Tasha Lawson joined Openlands in December 2014. She is thrilled to be assisting the Communications and Development departments to advocate Openland's mission.

A Detroit native, Tasha is an avid birder and lover of nature in general. She enjoys hiking, day trips, and activities that involve a field guide.

Before joining Openlands, Tasha performed with the Chicago Sinfonietta and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago's music outreach program. She has organized arts outreach to seniors and at risk youth in Chicago, and has taken part in community outreach from Pittsburg to New Orleans and everywhere in between.
