Dinesh Goburdhun joined the Openlands Board of Directors in 2017. He currently leads the research team at Dscout, and former employers include RGA, VSA, gravitytank, Continuum, and Cheskin. Over the course of his career, Dinesh’s work has benefitted clients from IBM and Microsoft, to GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever and BMW.
Having first heard of Openlands through a public art exhibit in Millennium Park, Dinesh has since volunteered his time as a TreeKeeper and is a founding member of the Openlands Advisory Council.
“I chose to join the Board because I’m excited about Openlands’ future,” said Dinesh. “Though the environment in which we work—both natural and political—has become incredibly challenging, that challenge pushes us to go further, to be more innovative, and to amplify our impact.” When asked where he likes to get outside in the Chicago region, Dinesh says, “All of Openlands’ larger regional projects—the Lakeshore Preserve, Midewin, and Hackmatack—are favorite spots to get outside, of course.”
