Tolu Olorode

Tolu Olorode is the Manager of Data and Impact at Openlands and works with staff to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of program areas at Openlands. She has always been interested in non-profit work and the intersection of social justice and the environment. A self-proclaimed “data nerd,” Tolu hopes to use her insights to lead, assess, and make recommendations on a large scale to nonprofits in the environmental sector. Before joining the Openlands team in 2017, Tolu was a research area specialist working on an evaluation of Michigan’s Medicaid expansion program at the University of Michigan’s Center for Bioethics and Social Science in Medicine (CBSSM). She is a 2021 University of Chicago Civic Leadership Academy Fellow and holds two master’s degrees in Urban Planning and Social Work from the University of Michigan.
