From tree plantings to river clean-ups, Corporate Volunteer Days are impactful ways to inspire employee engagement while improving the communities where you live and work. You can choose from the activities below that fit your company’s interests. We recommend 20 people per event and will work with you to find the best time and location for your Volunteer Day. Following the event, Openlands will create post-event blog or video blog ready to use and share with your customers and friends.
Volunteers will plant, mulch and water trees in groups of four while learning the importance of trees to our overall health.
Volunteers will assist with removing invasive plants and planting of native species, help maintain trails, and collect seeds.
Volunteers will help collect trash and debris that endangers the ecosystem while learning about the importance of the Openlands Lakeshore Preserve.
Volunteers will help CPS students and teachers refresh their outdoor learning gardens by planting and mulching, mending raised garden beds, picking up trash and debris and mending educational signage.
Volunteers will team up in groups of two to go out onto the river in canoes, collecting debris and trash from the waterway and along the shoreline.
